Who is eligible?

For Rental Deposit Assistance:

·                     Those moving into Section 8 or Public Housing

·                     The Elderly

·                     The Disabled

·                     Those with annual incomes that are 25% below the ami

For Rental Asisstance:

·                     Individuals NOT residing in subsidized housing

·                     Those whose incomes are below the 50% ami

·                     Those who are ONLY one month behind in their rent

·                     Those whose monthly income is at least one and a half times their monthly rent

Example:  Month rent:                  $400.00

Monthly Income$600.00

For Home Repair:

·                     Owner occupied homeowners whose annual income is 25% below the ami

How do I Apply?

Once you have read through our program guidelines and have determined that you are eligible to apply, you may?????

·                     Call our office or check our website, to identify when we will begin taking applications and for what counties.

·                     Once you have identified the date that we will begin accepting applications you may print off an application.

·                     You can begin gathering your documents.

·                     Please be cautioned.  WE WILL NOT  BEGIN TAKING APPOINTMENTS UNTIL THE DATE HAS ARRIVED THAT WE WILL BEGIN TAKING APPLICATIONS.

·                     OUR SERVICES ARE ON A ?FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS?.  WHAT THIS MEANS IS:   JUST BECAUSE YOU MAY HAVE PRINTED OFF AN APPLICATION AND GATHERED YOUR DOCUMENTS AND COMPLETED YOUR COMMUNITY SERVICE ? YOUR APPLICATION IS INACTIVE UNTIL YOU COME INTO OUR OFFICE FOR AN APPOINTMENT.  Therefore, if we run out of funds before your appointment, you application is void.
